I have family visiting this week, so I am a little too unfocused to write a lot. I have had a metablog entry growing in my head for a while now, so I think this is a perfect time to put it down. Here it is:
Why I blog:
- I love geeking out about improv
- I love how improv seems so connected to Zen and Taoism
- I love how much improv has affected my life and relationships
- My wife told me I should do this
- I had a great blog mentor
- I perform improv in a small town wanted to connect with other improvisers
- I write to work though the sh*t in my own head
Why I have fallen in love with the blogosphere
- When I was dealing with some crazy fears I read this blog
- When I was feeling lost I read this blog
- When I was feeling crazed about being a new dad I read this blog
- When I want a laugh I read this blog
- When I need to connect to other improvisers I read this blog
- When I want to think about how improv affects life I read this blog
- Or this blog
Thank you for inspiring me.
Today’s Improvmantra: Give Thanks.
I am humbled! I’m glad you stumbled across my blog and can share wisdom!
You have great things to say.
Okay Dude. You have made my day. I am subscribing now. No quid pro quo. I cannot go through life without improvmantra any longer.
Thanks for keeping me laughing.
Awwww you’re too awesome. When I’m lost is why I write my blog! Keep going; you’re a great inspiration and help me (and others I’m sure) to remember we’re here to be superrad.
Thank you so much! I love reading your posts, and I find them informing my blog (and just thoughts on life) as well. This is why blogging rocks – it connects us to new people and ideas to which we might never have otherwise been exposed!
You are welcome. I always enjoy reading your ideas about how improv and life connect.
